Justin Russell grew up in Abilene, Texas, and went to school at Abilene High. He attended Tarleton State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Upon graduation, Justin moved to Midland, Texas where he worked as a Geologist for H. L. Brown Operating. In 2011, he moved back to Abilene where he has since co-founded Prensorus Energy, JAR Land & Investments, and Platform Energy. Justin specializes in mineral and royalty acquisitions. He and his wife, Alex, want to invest in the growth of Abilene. Justin is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Young Professionals in Energy, the Abilene Chamber of Commerce and Abilene Young Professionals.

Alex Terrell Russell was born and raised in Abilene, Texas while splitting time with her family in Nashville, Tennessee. She attended college at Texas Tech University where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree focused in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. During her senior year at Tech, she was asked to serve on the founding committee to establish a new group aimed at retaining young people, the Abilene Young Professionals (AYP). Two years later, she had the honor to serve as AYP president. Alex has served on advisory boards for many organizations and non-profits including the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, Texas Tech Alumni Association, and the Center for Contemporary Arts. Her experience with Abilene is vast and includes countless conversations, city council meetings and the honor of leading Mayor Williams’ campaign efforts in 2017.
